Full-time Students

When you go to graduate school full-time, you can focus all of your time and energy on your studies. That means you’ll be more immersed in the academic experience, without any distractions. Hear from our students about their experiences studying on a full-time schedule.

So being a full-time student in comparison to a part-time student is a bit more challenging. You just have a little bit more on your plate. But what I've noticed is that the professors in my program are very understanding. They get that a few of us have part-time jobs. We want to have a social life-- we have family that we need to care for. So having professors that are flexible with us makes it a bit easier. One of the major perks of being a full-time graduate student in this program is the community that comes along with it. Having advisors that literally dedicate themselves to the success of their students is a huge plus. I've been encouraged and supported by my advisors and my peers. And I've learned with them, I've grown with them, and I consider majority of them friends. So just having that community is a huge plus. So this program has had a huge impact on my career direction. It solidify what I want to do with my life. I would love to open up public relations firm in DC. So I saw that the management degree will offer the fundamental skills that I would need to be a successful business owner in this area.
