BAM Students

George Mason University’s Costello College of Business offers several Bachelor’s/Accelerated Master’s (BAM) programs for highly-qualified Mason undergraduates.

By staying with Mason for your graduate program, you can earn both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in an accelerated timeframe by taking graduate courses while still an undergraduate student. When you graduate, you'll have made valuable connections in a network of more than 80,000 Mason alumni in the Washington, D.C., area alone. Hear from our students about their experiences studying in the Bachelor’s/Accelerated Master’s (BAM) program.

Our internal students have the option of doing the bachelors accelerated masters. That is essentially a fifth year in which you are doing your graduate program only. However, during your fourth year or the year before you graduate, you are doing some of your graduate courses. You save a lot of money doing this and you save time. And when you graduate, you have the credits that you need, as well as a master's degree. Students say that they are so glad that they did this program-- that it launched their career. It saved them-- years. In a short period of time, they're already getting yet another promotion, because they have a master's degree and they're eligible. The accelerated master's program was attractive to me because I knew that I always wanted to become a CPA-- a Certified Public Accountant, and you have to have 150 credits to genuinely be certified. It allowed me to have 150 credits at the end of my program. It allowed me to continue to take a deep dive into accounting, and doing the accelerated track at Mason allows you to not get out of the groove of school. You know your professors. You know who Mason is, and because of how fast paced it is, I almost think you're more equipped for the professional world that you take on after.
